According to this thread there's an unconfirmed bit of info that guild storage has to be "won" somehow. Erm...

you see it is very dificult for collectors to handle very few slots as sstorage and can you imagaine a hole new set of wepons and all new stuff in the next chapter maybe new materials we will not be able to handle all this in the pitiful storage box we have, and not metioning new characters.

Yeah tell me about it. Many warriors will have at least two sets of armour (assuming PvE), not to mention different weapon sets across classes, the things collected from various events and so forth. My mesmer already kind of doubles as a bit of a back pack for my other chars, poor guy. I can see it getting much worse if there's no additional storage space.

I never thought of that, but yeah, storage space SHOULD be increased, I collect all the materials I need for my characters' armor, and that takes up all my boxes almost. I have one row of runes and that's it. Between me and my BF, we each have a certain amount of materials, he holds the iron/steel ingots, I have all the cloth and silk, I have shells, he has scales, etc etc. To conserve space, we usually play at the same time anyway, but it really would be nice to have more room.

I was a little disappointed at hearing only two new character slots, I'm going to be dying to make new combos, as it is for this weekend coming up at March 24th, gonna delete a char to reserve my Assassin chick, I was getting to like my E/N too... Eh, such is life I guess.

Edit: I need to get another GW account.. But there's no way I'm installing factions seperate, my E/Mo is dying to see some play time in Cantha. Heh. We'll just have to wait and see what our persuasion gets us. It might not happen right away, or we may get a whole new vault place for Cantha, who knows.

I agree, if GW increased storage space, I would be much happier with the two chars slots. I currently have one char that is soley used as storage. It is a pure pain in the ass to move items around to be able to play him. This problem will be only magnified once you merge two games and new items. A gulid storage being accessible by the leader or officers would help this problem out tremendously.

ANET, i really hate wasting time in town trying to buy items(not elite items), simply because I cannot storage something that I find playing the game.

There was a link to a German interview that was translated English and it talked about how you will be able to unlock many traders for your Guild Hall. This would include Merchants, Dye Traders, Rune Traders, etc... This also includes a Xunlai Storage Agent. The thing here is that it would be a normal Xunlai Storage Agent, not a Guild Storage with a bin that everyone in the guild could have access too. The only benifit of the storage agent in the GH is that you can have easier access. I haven't seen anything hinting towards a different type of storage, and I don't think there is going to be one. There are times when a universal Guild Storage would be helpful, but I think it's better off. If we got a storage bin like that you know there would be that many more griefers coming into these forums talking about how someone in their guild stole all their crap and left.

This is why the guild's storage needs limited access. If this happened, it would further thrive the guild play in the game.

If it is a reward, I sure hope it doesn't involve any PvP or GvG crap.

I do know that at some level, sadly, it will. Just like getting the guild hall itself relied on the Sigil market. *sigh* Those of us who do just PvE are stomped on all over. At least the market trade exists. But, it's so expensive.

The concept of storage space will always affect players as a community or a whole, never should it be individually. (it is the same w/ the slots thing for SE/CE , but I am not going to go into that ofcourse.)

I think the storage situation is fine. Each character can carry 45 different items. 5 for another set of armor, maybe 2 or 3 different weapons, and the rest for whatever random drops I find. Raw materials can be held by just one of the PvE characters, and storage can hold all of the runes and rare items I haven't sold yet. And then there's still space on the other characters.

Well.. if youve played GW since its realease, like I, and many others have.. Storage is a big problem, at least for me anyway, who likes to keep rare greens and items.

I think we should be given the option to buy extra vaults from the storage ladies, maybe 5-6 extra vaults, each holding the same amount. It would save alot of grief. Or, allow 1 extra storage vault for each character on that account, but instead of having to swtich chars to access that particular storage, enable any character to have access to it. e.g. 4 characters = 4 storage vaults. 2 chars = 2 storage vaults

I can't understand why Anet would ignore such a staple issue for factions?
